The R+D department of OMRON and the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial, CSIC-UPC (IRI) are looking for highly motivated students with interest in robot programming and simulation.

OMRON offers internships with the objective of developing a dynamic 3D robot simulation environment which can be used to model serial and parallel robots, calibrate robot setups, program the robots at a high level, and automatically plan the coordinated motions of a robotic cell. Moreover, the simulator should also provide an interface with the OMRON products (ST/Ladder, NJ controller).
This is a long term objective and the particular tasks for the candidates can be adjusted according to their interests.

The internships will be mainly developed at OMRON's facilities in Barcelona, but in cooperation with IRI. The internship may eventually lead to a PFG (Projecte Final de Grau) or to a TFM (Treball Final de Màster).

The contract for the internship will be formalized as an "ajut d'iniciació a la recerca de la UPC" or a similar agreement.

The position will be covered as soon as possible (we will not wait until September 15th if we find a suitable candidate).
