Abstract

This paper deals with the assessment of the reliability of predictions made in the context of the fuzzy inductive reasoning methodology. The reliability of predictions is assessed with of two separate confidence measures, a proximity and a similarity measures. A time series and a single-input/single-output system are used as two different applications to study the viability of these measures.
