Wicak was born in Denpasar, Indonesia, in 1990. He received his bachelor degree in electrical engineering from University of Indonesia in 2011. In 2016, he obtained a master's degree in Systems and Control from TU Delft, the Netherland. Afterward, Wicak started his PhD project within the INCITE framework. His research is focused on developing partitioning techniques and distributed optimization-based control methods for large-scale grids with distributed generators.
