Description

In the framework of the Hy-BCN project, the Automatic Control group of the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial is looking for an engineer to join the research team in charge of developing dynamic models of reversible solid oxide stacks and, based on these models, designing controllers for their efficient performance.

Reversible operation, which is the capacity to operate either in fuel cell mode (power production) or in electrolizer mode (hydrogen production) is still not well described in the literature. How to operate the stack when current changes of sign will be given special attention. A second key aspect will be the thermal behavior of the system, since high efficiencies can only be obtained if an optimal heat management is done.

A 6 month full-time contract will be offered with immediate incorporation.

Requirements

Qualifications: Electronic Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer or Industrial Engineer.
Knowledge: Experience in control systems design, programming and implementation, energy systems, thermal systems and fluid mechanics will be taken into account.
