Description

The goal of the project is developing an image segmentation algorithm on wind turbine blade imagery. Hence, given an image of a blade, we would like to obtain a binary image of the same size, which indicates whether each pixel belongs to the blade or the background region. Many distinct approaches for image segmentation have been developed. This project proposes to explore Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for solving this image segmentation problem. This project will be carried on between the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial and the company Wind Power Lab.

Requirements:
# Background: Computer Science, Telecommunications and Industrial Engineering, and Mathematics
# Other: Experience in computer vision and machine learning algorithms will be valued
