These have been many books on matrix algebra and relates topics ,some quite excellent.Yes it seemed to me that one of them suited the needs of the reader I had in mind- the student in physics,electronics and similar fields. Some are too much of the " cookbook" variety ; others go deeply into the subject,but treat it ac mathematical discipline rather than as a tool for analysis.It 's true that matrix algebra is valuable discipline,and that it has significance as a point of entry into the higher algebas.But,for the reader I had mind,this is not its primary relevance...
