Abstract

The present work shows the technical viability of a renewable energy installation applied to the treatment of wastewater for its subsequent use as irrigation water in an agricultural exploitation. The installation consists of photovoltaic panels (three different types), a short-term battery and a long-term hydrogen based storage systems. A vehicle has been hybridized in the frame of the project to use the stored hydrogen for mobility. The first results show an adequate design of the installation to the needs of the operation. The economic viability of the photovoltaic system with the battery storage system is also confirmed.
