We strongly believe that Humanoids 2024 is an ideal venue to present recent successes and next steps in human-robot-avatar interaction and collaboration. This workshop is aimed not only at bringing together researchers from human-robot interaction, cybernetics avatars and interactive machine learning fields, but also at creating valuable collaborations, and attracting more roboticists into this growing community.
This workshop will be held on the 22 November as part of HUMANOIDS, which runs from 22-24 November 2024, at the Prouvé Convention Centre, Nancy, France.

We strongly believe that HUMANOIDS 2024 is an ideal venue to present recent successes and next steps in human-robot interaction with cybernetics avatars. This workshop is aimed not only at bringing together researchers from human-robot interaction, cybernetic avatars and interactive machine learning fields, but also at creating valuable collaborations, and attracting more roboticists into this growing community.
Research on Human-Robot-Avatar Interaction has grown substantially, due to modern advances in technology, materials, and systems of perception and control. Nevertheless, this topic is still new in comparison to other research areas in robotics. This workshop is needed to give the researches the opportunity to present their current work on this topics.
The organizers will briefly introduce the current state-of-art in the field of human robot interaction and cybernetic avatars. They will then propose future challenges to be tackled to foster further discussions along the workshop.
Experts in different fields will share their works and experience in HRI and cybernetic, and the relation between these two important topics (please see the list of speakers above, depends on confirmation). They will also be encouraged to give their opinions and thoughts about the current and future problems in the field, providing different perspectives according to their areas of research.
The organizers will present a review of the most relevant presented ideas, and new frontiers to be carried out in the next future.
