Francesc Moreno-Noguer is an Associate Researcher of the CSIC (Spanish Research Council) at the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial (CSIC-UPC). He received the PhD degree in Computer Vision in 2005 from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and his dissertation obtained the UPC PhD Extraordinary Award. In 2006 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University working with Professors Shree Nayar and Peter Belhumeur. After that, he spent two years in Prof. Pascal Fua’s group at EPFL in Switzerland.

His research interests are focused on computer vision and its applications to robotics, medical imaging and computer graphics. In particular, his activities are concentrated on retrieving rigid and non-rigid shape, motion and camera pose from single images and video sequences.
