The Control Automatic Group of the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial, CSIC-UPC is searching an engineer for its Fuel Cell Laboratory to work on the design of control systems for PEM fuel cells.

MICAPEM PROJECT
The job and its corresponding funding is associated to the MICAPEM project (DPI2015- 69286-C3-2-R). MICAPEM is a research project from MINECO entitled “Parameter estimation, diagnosis and control for the improvement of the efficiency and the durability of PEM fuel cells”.

ABOUT THE JOB:
It is expected that the contracted engineer is integrated into the research group and have responsibility for tasks such as dynamic modelling, simulation, design of experiments and experimental validation of models and control strategies applied to PEM fuel cells. The heat management, the feeding of the reactant gases and the electric power management will be treated and thus, the studied system will be considered a generator of heat and power (CH&P).

The contract will be of one year (with possible extension to one year and a half) and the salary in accordance to the UPC salary scale, depending on the candidate academic degree.

The supervisors will be Dr. Maria Serra and Dr. Ramon Costa.

Requirements

Qualifications: The minimum academic degree required is an engineering grade. However, it will be assessed positively to have a master’s degree, especially in automatics, electronics, mechanics or chemical engineering.
Languages: Fluency in English.
