Description

Due to the fact that FPGA designs allow you to create high-performance bit-level processing and are suitable to emulate digital logic for ICs, they can potentially be a great solution for implementing nowadays automatic control strategies that imply no direct human intervention and control loops to regulate the error signal of the incoming inputs. According to these features, the main goal of this project is to combine hardware description language and automatic control systems towards improving the closed-loop performance of simple real systems (e.g., AC motor) while satisfying real-time implementation constraints through the use of FGPAs.
