Prof. Maria Serra (graduate in Physics, 1995, PhD in Chemical Enginnering, 2000) is Associate Professor of the Automatic Control Department at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya since 2008. She is currently the Head of the Automatic Control Group in the Insitut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial (IRI). Her research interests are modeling and control of complex systems, focusing on energy generation and fuel-cell systems.
